The short version

ReddishGreen Dock is a native macOS app that runs on your Mac. The things it captures — window previews, clipboard history, picked colours and screenshots — stay on your device. They are not sent to us or to any third party.

The app

  • Clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac (your most recent 100 items) and never uploaded. You can clear it at any time.
  • Screenshots, picked colours and window previews are processed on-device to power the relevant feature. They are not transmitted off your Mac.
  • Permissions (Accessibility, Screen Recording) are used only to provide the features described on this site.
  • Updates are delivered via Sparkle, which requests the appcast file from downloads.rgdock.com. This is a standard web request and is not used to profile you.
  • Account access uses your verified email address, a one-time sign-in code, a pseudonymous device identifier, and rotating session credentials. We use these only to authenticate the app and determine whether your ReddishGreen Dock entitlement is free or paid.
  • Optional product analytics can be enabled during onboarding or in Support settings. When enabled, the app sends a random installation identifier, app and macOS versions, permission completion, daily app launches, and which major feature was used that day. It never sends window titles, clipboard contents, screenshots, picked colours, file names, or application names. Turning the setting off asks our service to delete events associated with that random identifier.

This website

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us aggregate, privacy-first traffic stats. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track individuals across sites.
  • Downloads are served from Cloudflare R2. Standard server logs may record requests for operational and security purposes.
  • Early access collects your email address so we can provide the download and send essential beta, security, and future licensing notices. Broader product news is a separate, optional opt-in and is never selected for you.
  • Download access verifies your address through a single-use email link. The link expires after 10 minutes; the resulting download grant is single-use and a strictly necessary secure cookie keeps the handoff working for up to 15 minutes. Older early-access cookies may continue to work during the migration period and expire after no more than 180 days. None are used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • Transactional email is delivered by Resend, which processes the recipient address and message content and retains delivery logs for up to 30 days. It is used only for requested download links, sign-in codes, and essential account notices.
  • Abuse prevention uses Cloudflare Turnstile and short-lived, keyed hashes of an email address, device identifier, and network address to enforce request limits without storing those raw values in the verification records.
  • Feedback stores the message you send, an optional rating, app version, and an email address only when you choose to provide one.
  • We don't set advertising cookies or sell any data.

How long we keep it

Early-access account details, entitlement and consent records, anonymous product events, operational access events, and feedback are reviewed while the programme is active and may be retained for up to 24 months so we can operate the service and compare adoption and retention over time. Expired verification and download grants are routinely removed, and delivered or permanently failed email-outbox records are removed after 30 days. You can ask us to delete your email or feedback, or withdraw optional product-news consent, at any time. Anonymous app events can also be deleted by turning off Share Anonymous Usage Data in the app.

Payments (future)

ReddishGreen Dock is free during early access. If paid licences are introduced, checkout will be handled by Stripe, and payment details would be processed by Stripe under their privacy policy — we would not store your card details. This section will be updated before any paid features go live.
